Hi there. My name is Viv – I’m Ron Carter’s daughter and remember spending many hours on my dad’s plot as a child. I’m now the secretary of a site in London amd through a roundabout route have been contacted by allotmenteers in Swinton, Manchester, who are looking to loan an apple press and crusher. Would it be possible for them to hire your Vigo press?

Glad to hear you are continuing in your father’s tradition!
Unfortunately, it’s the very time of year that the press is in regular demand! As you can imagine! We have a member who has a schedule of apple pressing over the coming weeks for himself and for members. Winter and spring wouldn’t be a problem but I don’t imagine you’d want it then!
Best thing is for Swinton to buy their own. Not cheap but worth it.
